Insignia Software ("us", "we", or "our") operates this ILS application (“the App”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the App.
We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
While using our App, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to identify you or we may obtain such information when you login to the App. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name, phone number, and email address ("Personal Information"). Insignia will not share such information with any third party, other than the Insignia customer for whom the App is being used.
Like many App operators, we collect information that your mobile app sends whenever you are using it. ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our App that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
We may collect information about the device you are using the Services on, including what type of device it is, what operating system you are using, device settings, application IDs, unique device identifiers, and crash data. Whether we collect some or all of this information often depends on what type of device you are using and its settings.
In order to provide you with routing information and directions to the library, the App may access the GPS on your device to determine your position.
Some users will have access to administrative features of our application. These include barcode scanning, for which the App will need to access your device’s camera.
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Like many Apps, we use cookies to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our App.
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, and take steps to prevent its loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure.
We may access and use the data as reasonably necessary and in accordance with the agreement with the Insignia customer to: (a) provide, maintain and improve the Services; (b) prevent or address service, security, technical issues or at a Customer’s request in connection with customer support matters; (c) as required by law; (d) as set forth in our agreement with the Customer or as expressly permitted in writing by the Customer.
We may use other kinds of information to understand and improve our services, and to investigate and prevent abuse and fraud.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of February 24, 2017 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our web App.
